The Lafayette Commission on the Needs of Women is currently accepting applications for the 23rd Women of Excellence Awards.
Applications for the awards will be available online at lafayettela.gov/lcnw to nominate a woman who is providing excellence to and for her community. Nominations will be accepted daily until July 31 at 5:00 pm.
Women nominated for the award should be a woman from Lafayette parish who is active in their community and striving to achieve excellence for themselves and for other women by promoting the excellence of their community.
The awards will feature four categories for nominations including public service, non-profit, business, and a Be Brave Award that will be given to a woman who has overcome obstacles in their life to achieve her excellence.
The awards banquet will be held in October.
