Lafayette Travel says that even residents will be surprised with what there is to do in the city and beyond on any given week.

Festival International is known to bring out locals and tourists to enjoy Lafayette and Lafayette Travel is offering a few tips to ensure that the fun doesn’t end too early for those interested in getting their full Festival and Lafayette experience.

1.) Watch your local news stations or go online for news stories and information. The week is full of events and there are several resources to find itineraries for the day’s activities.

2.) Parking/ transportation. Be sure to plan your parking when heading out to Festival and other city hot spots. The city gets pretty packed, so know where designated parking is the best for your trip. Utilize the city’s public transportation for easy access to events and locales.

3.) Grab a map. Lafayette has many great stops and a map makes finding everything the city has to offer during Festival a little easier. City maps can be picked up at the Visitor’s Center located on 1400 NW Evangeline Thruway.
