St. Landry Parish Crime Stoppers: Help needed in solving car burglaries

St. Landry Crime Stoppers and Deputy Matthew Owen of the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office need your help in solving three vehicle burglaries in the Opelousas area. Between the dates of July 25th and the 29 th St. Landry Parish deputies responded to three separate break-ins of vehicles. The burglaries occurred on the 300 block of Suzanne Dejean Drive, the 7000 block of Hwy 31, and the 100 block of Tillou Andrus Drive. In one of the burglaries a black male suspect is seen wearing a back pack entering one of the vehicles around 1:00am. Stolen in the burglaries was over $500.00 in cash, 1 AK-47 Mini Drako grey in color with a tan front hand grip, and a GEN 5 Glock 9mm grey in color. In all three cases the vehicles were once again left unlocked and one vehicle had a purse left in plain view. A total loss of value was listed at over $2,000 dollars.
