St. Landry Crime Stoppers: Help needed solving theft in Port Barre area

St. Landry Crime Stoppers is asking for help in solving a theft in the Port Barre area.

On April 17, 2020, deputies were dispatched to Falcon Engine Service on Hwy 190. An unknown suspect removed and stole various parts from the cab of a 2013 Peterbilt 18 wheeler.

The owner reported that two truck doors, two mirror brackets with mirrors, and both air breathers were stolen. The last time he observed the items was at 7:00pm on April 16, 2020. Deputies noticed that the security camera had been pushed down taking the truck out of view. DNA samples of the scene were able to be collected by deputies. The total loss of value is listed at over $24,000 dollars.
