St. Landry Parish Crime Stoppers is asking for help in solving a shooting in the Opelousas area.
On February 6, 2021, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Christ the King Road where four juveniles were observed shooting handguns. Once they realized that they were being watched, they left the area in an unknown type of vehicle.
One residence was hit by gunfire multiple times while five people were sleeping inside.
Almost a dozen shell casings were found on the roadway between the 300 and 400 block of Christ the King Road. More were found at the residence hit by the gunfire.
