St. Landry Crime Stoppers is asking for help from the public in solving a burglary in the Lawtell area.
On January 16, 2021, deputies were dispatched to Jim Guillory Road in reference to a burglary complaint. The owner reported that her lawnmower was stolen from her shop.
The lawnmower is described as a 2015 John Deere Zero Turn mower model Z915B, green and yellow in color and valued at more than $7,000.
Deputies observed a self assisted walker in the backyard underneath a security light attached to the home. Deputies believe it was used to disable the security light during the theft.
The burglary is suspected to have occurred between the late afternoon of January 14 and mid morning January 15, 2021.
