LEBEAU, La. – St. Landry Crime Stoppers is asking for help in solving a burglary of a local business.
On February 2, 2019, deputies responded to the Dollar General located in the 6000 block of Highway 10 in Lebeau for a burglary. The store clerk was in the process of opening for business and noticed two holes in the right side wall of the store safe. When deputies arrived, they discovered a hole that was cut into the building which led to the office. The store alarm was not activated during the burglary and once inside the thieves stole cash and the hard drive of the store security system.
Law Enforcement agencies of Pointe Coupe, Franklin, La Salle, and Richland Parishes are also investigating similar Dollar General burglaries in the same manner.
