St. Landry Crime Stoppers is asking for your help in solving a fatal hit-and-run in the Port Barre area.
On November 30, 2018, at 7:50 pm, Louisiana State Police was dispatched to Hwy 190 near the intersection of Hwy. 742. When troopers arrived they located the body of Kevin Bazar who was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. A witness at the scene stated that Bazar was crossing Hwy 190 and he slowed down to allow him to cross over. After the witness turned off of Hwy 190 Bazar was struck. The suspect vehicle could only be described as a dark colored truck and should have possible damage to the passenger side of the vehicle, according to police.
