St. Martin Crime Stoppers are sharing a few tips to keep you and your family safe this holiday season.
Officials say that if you are traveling out of town this holiday season, remember to keep all valuables out of vehicles, or out of sight, and keep doors locked.
They also recommend having your mail stopped and asking a neighbor to watch over your house. Keep a light or TV on and make sure your home is locked and all outdoor valuables are locked up and secured.
After unwrapping gifts on Christmas, never leave large boxes that contain larger gifts such as TV’s, computers on the curbside. Break down the boxes and place in a trash bin.
