The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office needs your help identifying the suspect involved in an armed robbery in the 2900 block of S. Lewis Street in New Iberia.
On the morning of December 5, deputies responded to the Food-N-Fun in reference to an armed robbery. The suspect entered the business armed with a black handgun, approached the female cashier, pointed the gun at her, and demanded she give him money from the safe, according to investigators. When she could not access the safe, the male suspect forced her to give him the cash from the register and took two change bags from under the register. He forced her to exit the business with him and then fled toward the area of Oil Center Drive.
