While cute cards, flowers and a fancy dinner are all great ways to spend Valentine’s Day, let’s get real — all you really need is chocolate. Lots and lots of chocolate.
It doesn’t matter if you’re expecting a gift from someone special or simply buying some goodies for yourself. We can all enjoy the variety of limited-edition treats that come out around Feb. 14.
This year, that lineup from Hershey includes a brand-new Kit Kat flavor: raspberry + creme. The miniature Kit Kats feature the same iconic crispy wafer as regular Kit Kats, but these are surrounded by a raspberry-flavored white cream instead of milk chocolate. And, of course, they’re pink!
The new raspberry + creme Kit Kats are available in stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $3.49 to $4.09 depending on the size of the bag. No word on exactly how long these raspberry treats will be around, but expect them to be available at least through Valentine’s Day.
These new Kit Kats come on the heels of the sweet cinnamon Kit Kats that were introduced for the holiday season and the pumpkin spice Kit Kats right before that. Does this mean we’ll be seeing a new seasonal Kit Kat flavor for each holiday? One can hope!
If raspberry flavors — or Kit Kats — don’t top your list of favorite Valentine’s Day treats, other limited-edition candies are popping up for the romantic holiday that might be more to your liking.
Reese’s peanut butter hearts are now available in snack size for the first time, and Hershey is also introducing Jolly Rancher jelly hearts and milk chocolate hearts filled with strawberry cream.
Returning this year are also Reese’s hearts stuffed with Reese’s Pieces and Hershey’s lava cake Kisses, which feature a dark chocolate outer coating and an oozing chocolate center inside.
You’ll also find some new candy exclusive to Target, including Ghirardelli white chocolate creme brulee squares, a Hershey’s Valentine’s Day milk chocolate Kisses gift box and Lindor Valentine’s Day dark strawberry chocolate truffles.
If you love marshmallow with your chocolate, you’ll need to order some Hershey’s Valentine’s Day chocolate-covered marshmallow hearts.
Which new Valentine’s Day treat will you be trying first?
