Along with cinnamon-sugar donuts from a local orchard, cinnamon rolls are always at the top of my list for cozy fall foods once summer comes to an end. That’s not to say, however, that I don’t crave cinnamon rolls all year round — even when it’s 90 degrees outside.
Luckily, there is a new product on store shelves that will make my warm-weather cinnamon roll cravings a thing of the past: Cinnabon ice cream.
Breyers has teamed up with Cinnabon to make the sweet treat, which features cinnamon ice cream, swirls of gooey cinnamon and dough bites for a cold, creamy twist on the classic Cinnabon cinnamon roll.
You can find containers of the icy Cinnabon treat in the freezer section of grocery stores nationwide, where it joins a few other similar flavors from different brands, like Ben and Jerry’s Cinnamon Buns ice cream and Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream’s Skillet Cinnamon Roll flavor.
You can also try your hand at making your own cinnamon roll ice cream. This recipe from Brownie Bites calls for common ice cream ingredients like heavy cream and eggs, plus cinnamon sticks and a can of cinnamon rolls. You will also need an ice cream maker.
If you’ve got an air fryer and a love of cinnamon rolls, check out this recipe from Pillsbury for cinnamon roll bites. The recipe produces warm, doughy bites of sugary cinnamon goodness that you then dip in a cream cheese frosting.
If cinnamon rolls aren’t your thing, the Cinnabon ice cream joins a few other new flavors from Breyers as well, including peach cobbler and s’mores. You’ll also find other flavors perfect for summer, like ice cream cake, and classics like mint chocolate chip, rocky road and cookies & cream.
Will you be trying Breyers and Cinnabon’s new ice cream creation?
