He’s green. He’s tiny. At 50 years old, he’s the oldest child we’ve ever seen, and he’s captured the heart of millions of fans. From the very first episode of Disney Plus’ “Star Wars: The Mandalorian,” a character known only as “The Child” has taken over social media conversations to the point where you can’t check your feed without seeing Baby Yoda sipping soup or otherwise looking too cute for words.
It didn’t take long for Baby Yoda merchandise featuring this adorable little guy and his quirks (he snacks on frogs!) to pop up, but fans who wanted their own little version of The Child in a plush or figurine were out of luck.
Some clever makers on Etsy got crafty, creating Baby Yoda crochet patterns and other cute items, but in the meantime, some Funko Pop! dolls finally appeared in Amazon’s Mandalorian shop for preorder.
Now, Hasbro has released some toy Baby Yodas for preorder, too. Among the offerings are Baby Yoda snuggled up in a blanket, using The Force with his tiny hands and adorably sipping soup. The preorder dates all say they’ll ship in May 2020. But we think they’re worth the wait!
This series of 2.2-inch collectibles come in three sets of two figures, and each set of two is $15.99.
Star Wars The Bounty Collection The Child Collectible Toys 2.2-Inch The Mandalorian “Baby Yoda”: Don’t Leave and Ball Toy
Baby Yoda’s big eyes are just too much in the don’t leave and ball toy pairing. In the first episode of “Star Wars: The Mandalorian,” Baby Yoda mistook part of the bounty hunter’s ship for a ball. That adorable moment is captured in one of this set’s figures. The second is the heartbreaking look from The Child who doesn’t want to be left behind.
Star Wars The Bounty Collection The Child Collectible Toys 2.2-Inch The Mandalorian “Baby Yoda”: Sipping Soup and Blanket Wrapped
The sipping soup and blanket wrapped figures are probably the cutest in the bunch. The Child comes wrapped in a blanket in one, and he’s only got one eye open, the sleepy little guy! The second collectible has him drinking soup out of a bowl. We just can’t take how much we love these.
Star Wars The Bounty Collection The Child Collectible Toys 2.2-Inch The Mandalorian “Baby Yoda”: Froggy Snack and Force Moment
When The Child is not sipping soup, he seems to enjoy snacking on frogs! One of the figures in this set — called froggy snack and Force moment — catches him mid-snack. The second figure in this pair captures an apparent moment when he’s using The Force — not that we want to give you any spoilers if you haven’t watched “The Mandalorian” yet!
And, of course, Disney has also released this adorable Baby Yoda plush, which you can pre-order on Amazon for $24.99.
Too cute!
