Starting June 26, 2019, the grocery chain will sell a chocolate-filled Belgian waffle.
We’ll let that sink in for a moment.
These amazing breakfast treats will feature an outer shell of waffle-y goodness and a thick, creamy Belgian chocolate filling.
It makes perfect sense. Why settle for chocolate that just sits on top of a waffle? Who wants to simply sprinkle some chocolate chips or pour chocolate sauce on top of a waffle when you can have so much more?
Not only would these make a beautiful breakfast choice, but we’re all for serving them up any time of day. Easy dessert idea, anyone?
These new chocolate-filled Belgian waffles are part of the Aldi’s Specialty Selected product line.
Other products in this premium food collection include Speciality Selected Vanilla Cream Brioche, Mini Cream Puffs, Jumbo Scallops, Raw Honey, and more.
The waffles will be available in the freezer section at Aldi, but only for a limited time. Each box will have four waffles for $3.99, so you’ll have enough to share with family members or friends.
But somehow, we’re not sure we’d want to do that!
The frozen waffles will be easy and quick to make in your own kitchen. So if you need breakfast on the run or just can’t wait to satisfy that chocolate craving, all you need to do is grab one, throw it in the toaster or the oven for a few minutes, and you can start your day in a delicious way.
In addition to the chocolate-filled Belgian waffle, Aldi will also offer a cherry-filled Belgian waffle in stores for a limited time.
Yes, you read that right: cherries.
