Remember those cute ceramic Christmas trees with the built-in lights? The one my grandma — and maybe yours, too — used to anchor her annual living-room holiday display?
They’re back, and they’re on sale at Aldi. Hip2Save found them in the store’s weekly ad for Nov. 20-26, and they’re going for $24.99. The Merry Moments 14-inch Nostalgic Tree is just over a foot tall and comes in green or snowy white. (My grandma had a green one. I will accept nothing less.)
The battery-operated trees may not be available at all Aldi stores — or they may sell out — so be prepared. Fortunately, Aldi isn’t the only place to pick up one of these sweet little guys.
Target’s got a bunch of them, ranging from a wee, $3 one to an 18-inch, $60 version that should last for years to come (hopefully). There are also indoor/outdoor models and charming Christmas ornaments in the same style.
OK, this one is too adorable: A “mini vintage ceramic tree” from Crate and Barrel for $9.95. It’s a more modern take on the old-school tree, for sure: Some of the lights are pink, purple and aqua, and they’re very tastefully and evenly distributed across the smooth surface. I’m totally devoted to the mid-20th-century ceramic tree, but I suddenly want to buy this, too.
It’s only $9.95!
Here’s another C&B offering. Take a deep breath and keep an open mind:
It’s kinda cool! Super sleek and even a bit abstract, but we definitely know what it represents. This mint-colored, 12-inch tree is battery-powered so a cord doesn’t disrupt the clean lines, and it sells for $29.95 at Crate and Barrel.
But let’s get back to the classics. Amazon has this glossy Milltown Merchants tree as an “Amazon’s Choice” selection.
The 15.5-inch tree rings up at $44.99; the 11.5-inch size is $24.99. And it’s eligible for Prime, so you’ve got free shipping if you’re a subscriber.
I know it’s a little early, but after all this tree talk, I’m starting to feel pretty Christmas-y over here. How about you?
