Two buildings, including a home, were destroyed by fire in Rayne Tuesday night.
Rayne Fire officials say they were called around 10 p.m. Tuesday. One house was occupied, but the other was scheduled for demolition.
No injuries were reported. The fire was quickly brought under control.
Fire Chief Michael Cormier asked the Fire Marshal for assistance in the investigation, and more information will be released after that investigation is complete.
