All Acadia Parish schools are open today, Tuesday, May 14, except for one: Mermentau Elementary.
There's still no power to the school, so it will be closed today, officials say.
"If you are in an area that is experiencing difficulties due to power, flooded roads, etc., school administrators will work with you regarding attendance. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation," officials say.
