The Estherwood Pontoon Bridge is closed.
The state Department of Transportation and Development announced last night that the bridge is closed effective immediately.
The bridge, which is on La. 91, is closed due to a single vehicle crash, DOTD officials.
Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route.
