If you believe pizza should be considered an acceptable meal at all hours of the day — yes, including for breakfast — 7-Eleven is about to make your mornings a whole lot better.
The convenience store’s new 5-inch, personal-sized breakfast pizza is now available at participating 7-Eleven stores nationwide for a limited time. Made with a flaky biscuit crust, it’s topped with creamy white gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage crumbles, bacon, ham and a blend of mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
The pizza is $2 and is available in the hot foods case at the front counter of participating 7-Eleven stores during the morning hours. It can also be prepared on request throughout the day. That means that no matter what shift you work or when your breakfast is, you’ll be able to grab one.
“7-Eleven stores’ busiest time of day is right in the heart of traditional breakfast hours, and people are hungry,” Robin Murphy, 7-Eleven fresh foods product director said in a press release. “We took our busiest time of day and (one of) our customers’ favorite hot foods — pizza — to create what we think will become a breakfast favorite that is delicious and easy to eat on the go.”
7-Eleven stores also carry a variety of other breakfast food, most of which are available 24/7. Other items range from breakfast sandwiches and burritos to fresh-made-daily pastries, muffins, doughnuts and more. They also have fresh-brewed coffee, cappuccino and hot chocolate.
Although the pizza will be hot and ready in the morning, if you don’t have time to wait for it at other hours of the day or can’t include a stop at 7-Eleven in your travels, you can also buy frozen breakfast pizzas to keep at home and heat up on a busy morning.
Red Baron makes personal-sized breakfast pizzas that come two per box for around $3. They include bacon, scrambled eggs and biscuit gravy and are sold in the freezer aisle of stores nationwide.
Walmart’s Marketside biscuit-crust breakfast pizza for $7 is quite large, so it would work well if you’re feeding multiple people on a weekend. Made with a biscuit crust, it’s topped with scrambled eggs and cooked breakfast crumbles on top of gravy and cheese.
You could also try your hand at making your own breakfast pizza, as it’s actually quite simple and quick if you use pre-made dough.
