Louisiana women’s basketball falls to Texas State 71-65 in ‘Pink Game’

LAFAYETTE – On a special day, which began with a celebration of cancer survivors, Louisiana Women’s Basketball (7-18, 5-6 SBC) could not hold off a late charge from the Texas State Bobcats (13-14, 8-7 SBC) falling in a Sun Belt Conference matchup, 71-65, in what was the Annual Pink Game, Saturday afternoon at the CAJUNDOME.

Cajuns lose to Sunbelt leader Texas State 64-62

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Nijal Pearson’s 3-pointer with 1:21 remaining erased Louisiana’s only lead of the game and Texas State regained sole possession of first place in the Sun Belt Conference standings with a 64-62 victory over the Ragin’ Cajuns on Saturday at Strahan Arena.
