I-10 East has reopened to traffic after an 18-wheeler fire closed the roadway at I-49.
DOTD reports that all lanes are now open on I-10 East at Mile Marker 118 (past LA 347) and congestion is minimal. That area is where the 18-wheeler fire occurred. They also report that all lanes are now open on I-10 East at I-49.
There is some congestion in that area.

I-10 East is now closed at I-49 due to an 18-wheeler fire just past Henderson on the Basin Bridge.
State police are currently on scene of the incident located at mile marker 118.
The fire is out.
I-10 East is closed while crews worked to extinguish the fire.
The Lafayette Police Department has closed the I-10 east on ramps at I-49 and Louisiana Avenue.
Motorists are advised to use I-49 North to US 190 East as a alternate route.
