No injuries were reported after Scott and Carencro firefighters responded to a vehicle fire Saturday afternoon in Scott.

Around 2:45 p.m., Scott firefighters responded to a vehicle fire in the 600 block of Brothers Road.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a vehicle engulfed in flames which ignited a nearby manufactured home. Carencro Fire was then dispatched to the scene to assist, says Scott Fire Chief Chad Sonnier.

The vehicle and residential fire were quickly brought under control. The vehicle was a total loss, with the structure next to it receiving moderate damage.

Another structure nearby received minimal exterior damage to vinyl siding.

No one was injured, and an investigation into the cause of the vehicle fire is ongoing.
