Lafayette Middle School received damage after a vehicle hit the building on Friday.
Lafayette Police say the driver of the car, had a medical issue and left the roadway but entered the parking lot of the school at very low speed and hit the building.
The driver was checked out by emergency responders and is fine
The vehicle did not go inside the building. A few bricks however, were knocked off.
LPSS says they are on scene and are handling the situation and will report on the damage. An update will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.
