Firefighters quickly extinguished a box truck fire Thursday morning at a business in Scott.
The Scott Fire Department says that they were called to a business in the 1500 block of Westgate Road around 3:00 am on Thursday, August 1.
Upon arrival, the department says firefighters located a box truck, utilized for lawncare services, engulfed in flames. The truck received damage to the cargo area.
The fire was brought under control and prevented from spreading to a nearby office building. Another vehicle parked next to the burning truck received minimal damage.
Lafayette Haz-Mat were deployed to the scene to assist in stopping a large diesel leak from the damaged box truck, according to the department.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
