Both lanes of I-10 East are now OPEN following a vehicle fire at mile marker 125 (before Whiskey Bay).
Congestion has reached mile marker 121 (Butte La Rose). Officials say that motorists can expect heavy delays.
The vehicle fire temporarily closed the roadway as crews worked to remove the vehicle.
State Police say that crews are working to clear the roadway as quickly as possible. Motorists should expect delays and use an alternate route if possible.
