Highway 91 (Maple Avenue) in Eunice will be closed between 3rd and 4th streets until further notice because of a sinkhole, according to Chief Randy Fontenot.
A sewer line beneath the road appears to have washed out and a part of the road is sinking, stated Fontenot.
DOTD and the City of Eunice are currently working on the project.
The chief says to make plans to use an alternate route until further notice.
