18-wheeler carrying produce catches fire on I-10 exit 103, roadway remains closed

UPDATE at 4:45pm: The exit ramp remains closed from I-10 East to US 167 South and US 90 (Exit 103A) is closed due to a vehicle fire.

Congestion is approaching Mile Marker 100 (Ambassador Caffery Parkway). Use alternate route.

Lafayette police and fire department are on the scene of an 18-wheeler fire on the I-10 Eastbound exit 103A.

Lafayette Police say the exit is closed at this time as the fire department works to put out the fire. Congestion is minimal.
