The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office says they were on scene of a train fire near Crowley on Tuesday.
Sheriff’s KP Gibson confirmed to KATC that the fire happened near the intersection of Eleanor Road and Hwy 90.
It is unclear if anyone was injured in this incident. The fire was contained to the engine of the train and has been extinguished
Photos provided show flames and smoke erupting from a BNSF Railway Company engine.
The fire happened in the 6:00 p.m. hour on Tuesday.
